About The Owner

My name is Eitan Katz. I am 21 years old as of the time of writing this. I am a student at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah.

I had never imagined that I would be going to college in UTAH of all places having grown up in Southeastern Pennsylvania and being (at the time) hellbent on staying. During my college search I began to look for something new. A change of scenery. A change of scenery that would elevate me to being a better person. I found it here.

What motivated me to become a firearms instructor? I can't really point to a single thing in particular. First, I had several bad experiences at ranges back home; mostly rude staff and being treated condescendingly. There was one experience in particular (if you know, you know) that really convinced me that the new generation of firearms instructors needed to do something different.

I had always had an interest in firearms. My friends considered me an "expert" when I did not remotely consider myself an expert. This made me realize just how important it is for new gun owners to get the correct information.

My goal is to provide quality firearms instruction in a friendly manner, be welcoming to new gun owners, demystify gun ownership, and to separate myth and fact.

Qualifications:

USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals Instructor

Utah Concealed Firearms Instructor

Sabre Red (pepper spray) Civilian Personal Safety Awareness Instructor

I hope to establish a working relationship with field experts and other instructors to be able to bring the absolute best in firearms instruction to you. I will admit freely that I have never been a law enforcement officer or a member of the armed forces. I hope that through advanced training and mentoring from those who came before me, I will be able to help forge a path forward for firearms instruction.
